As founder of THWC, I believe in a holistic
approach to healing. My specialty is working with
the mind. I incorporate mindfulness-based
psychotherapy when dealing with a variety of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, or struggling with everyday stressors, to name a few. I received my Doctorate in Psychology from Southern California University, specializing in trauma and loss; am a Licensed Clinical Counselor - Supervisor status, National Certified Counselor, and a Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress from the National Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Along with extensive training and experience in working with stress, from anxiety to panic attacks to Post-Traumatic Stress, I have also received extensive training in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, attended many meditation trainings, week-long retreats, and continue a personal meditation practice today.
Jennifer Mizicko, PCC, LSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Counselor and Social
Worker with a Master's Degree in Counseling and
Human Development from Walsh University. I
have been working in the field of trauma and substance abuse for over 15 years and been awed by the healing I have seen. Humans have such a capacity to heal and grow that it is nothing short of miraculous to be a part of that healing.
